Snow white paws padded slowly through the marshy packland, pure white pelt moving in time to the soft pawsteps. Convel looked above him, the sunset had lit the sky on fire. The sight of illusion that the clouds were spitting flames sent waves of stifled laughter through his muscles. Convel trotted on, the occasional bright red spark shining behind him. Due to his fire affinity, he was normally rejected from each pack he had attempted to join on his own.

Water rippled out at the tough of his long pink tongue. A noise captured his attention, his ears shot up erect at the noise, his ears like sonars trying to find any other hint of sound. Convel lifted his head, brilliant ice blue eyes gleaming as he snarled showing his pearl colored maw of knife sharp fangs. The scent of wolf suddenly filled his nose. Convel stood up, still hanging his head low, the fur on his neck raised on end as he stood in a motionless battle stance ready for any attacker. "Who's there?" he snapped, only to be answered by silence, the abrupt lack of noise in the water logged wood was like the smaller creatures had reached an end to their days.

[Twilight]

Large tan paws padded across the ground. Amber eyes darted to the other wolf, narrowing slowly. The black fur along his spine rippled as he tensed. He flicked hsi brown black ears up, and raised his tail, as if to say I am stronger. He stopped moving, his breath slow and calm. A breeze picked up around him, causing his tan and black fur to move with the wind. "The real question is who are you?"

He chose not to say who he was, but to wait. He started forward again, slower now. He kept his tail high and grinned, he stopped. Zenith sat down and rapped his tail around his front paws, now he was close to the other wolf, very close. Now the wind that circled him, enclosed the other as well. "What is your name?" He demanded, wondering what the other would do.

Convel stared at the other wolf, their aggressive stance that of an alpha's. Convel let his muscles relax, the fur on his scruff lowered down he wasn't hoping for a fight "The real question is who are you?" asked the tan wolf, Convel looked at him curiously. Himself being quite the gentlemen was always first to introduce that normally counts for every alpha but this one was different. He sat shaking the mud out of his soiled white coat "What is your name?" asked the other wolf. He was quite taken aback This guy wants me to introduce myself before him, this is his terretory! Convel's piercing blue eyes narrowed at the other wolf. My names Convel Ero. he shouted across the pond, he was still overcome by anger that he was first to intorduce And what might your name be? he asked, the true gentlemen in him gleaming through in his voice.

Normally Zenith would state his name and rank right away, but this time was different. He began to pad around the pond until only a tail length away from Convel. "I am Zenith, Alpha of the Cevern pack." He grinned, this wolf didn't like introducing himself first. "What is your purpose on my land?" If this wolf was looking for food, or just pAssing through, he would show him the way out. Then again if he was here to join, that would be a different story. Zenith wasn't the biggest wolf, but he was strong, and had mastered the ways of the wind long ago. Now he lowered his tail a little, but still held it high enough to show he was in charge.
