The rain pelted the soft ground as the clouds covered the sky, changing day into a dark mess. What were once white paws splashed through the puddles sending water every where. He smiled and stopped, looking around the rain seemed to stop touching him, but moving around him. With that he shook his pelt and kept moving, but just a little slower this time so not to get wet. He looked at his surroundings and grinned, this would be a good home. He looking up, and tried to scent some prey, he could taste the aroma of deer, not here, but close. All of the sudden he stopped and lifted his muzzle to the sky, a long howl erputed from inside. He sat down and let his tail fall beside him. Still no more rain touched him as he waited for the alpha or another high ranked wolf.

Soft, friendly rain dampened his fur as he walked along the border, more of a stroll sort of walk than a patrol, a working walk. He met the wolf awaiting him more by chance than by choice just as the male ended his call, Jarbach was a mere two or three feet away.
"Afternoon." he breathed, shaking his fur free of droplets. "Joining or otherwise; your name?" Two questions in one breath, something Jarbach did often. He lifted his head, stock as a showdog, high as a king. His tail lifted, he stood on his toes. Not for too long, however, long as the lower-ranked male got the idea.
