Tyris
The sun shone brightly as it began to set in the evening sky. Soft, short grAsses weaved back and forth in a slight breeze as the elk grazed calmly, weaving back and forth in small groups. The giant rocks of the hunting plains hid the small rabbits as they bounded around, nibbling on grAsses as the mice gathered small seeds. Along the pack borders a large male wolf trotted, pacing back and forth, not pAssing the scented border. He wrinkled his nose as he gazed towards the elk and rabbits, stomach rumbling. Shaking his head he came to a stop and gazed into the Vultreen pack lands. Closing his eyes for a moment Tyris took in a deep breath and made up his mind, as he breathed out he let out a deep howl for the alpha. Oh let them let me in.

Ah, a field. Almost made him feel at home. A large smile spread on his lips at the sound of a howl, spooking a herd of elk. They ran toward but around him, dodging the enemy, their eyes wide and rolling. Jarbach quickened his pace. Didn't want to miss the first member of the season, he thought. He'd hate to miss that.
"You there," he called, his voice rough and low pitch. Despite being a few inches shorter than the wolf in hieght, he lifted his head and tail as a sign of dominance, standing stock as a showdog. "The name's Jarbach," he sneered, dropping the act as soon as he was sure the wolf got the idea. "What're you here for?"

Tyris's tail dipped between his legs, a sign up submission. Lowering his head ad flicking his ears back slightly he dipped his head as a sign of respect. His light colored eyes watched as the elk scattered Shoot. He winced as the elk changed directions, right towards an advancing wolf. Luckly the elk turned and different direction and didn't trample the alpha male. Tyris watched as Jarbach approached, and listened as he spoke. "I'm Tyris, may I join your pack?"

He noticed the wolf's eyes glancing at the fleeing pray as he'd come up, swinging his head back to watch them. "They're tough to get on your own," he said. "Tough, but it fills you up. Worth it, in my opinion. Now," Jarbach paused for a breath, listening to the wolf's comment and shrugging. "Depends." Jarbach's tongue flicked over his fangs. "What have you got to offer? Strength? Knowledge of healing herbs or something? Other than a sack of dead weight, 'course." He smirked, chuckling. Sack of dead weight. Made him laugh every time.

Tyris's gaze narrowed in on the elk, he shrugged off his hunger and lifted his head a little bit. "To offer besides a sack of dead weight?" He smerked, "How about an extra body to watch, or a mouth to feed?" His eyes narrowed, "No, I fight. But mainly I perfer to keep order with things, using force of course." Letting his eye drift from Jarbach to the lands he snorted. "I have experience dealing with other wolves, wheather it be in a battle or a team."

"I don't feed," Jarbach said slowly. "I don't watch." He paused to listen as the wolf continued, nodding his head periodically. "Good, good. A fine member you'll be, then. On any other day I would accept you just as Fighter, however..." he glanced about. "I am short of members. Incoming Fighters will have no one to turn to for direction, except for me. You have experience; not many do. You'll be my Lead Fighter," he said with a grin. "The rank suits you."
Jarbach motioned to the lands behind him. "Before I let you enter, however, there are a few things you should know. If you have come from another land, you will find this one to be extrememly different in the way it is run. We are a pack, yes, and we work as a team." He smirked. "In certain things, of course. You will be forced to give respect to any wolf higher in rank than you; anyone else is your choice. I expect every member of two years and above to be capable of fending for themselves. If they can't survive in this pack, they will be tossed out when I think it fit. You seem like a fine boy," he shrugged, "so I'll make this quick. Any wolf living in or visiting this land is going to respect me. If there are any questionable ideas pAssed about the pack without my notice, any loyal wolf, you," he said suddenly, motioning toward the new member. "Shall report it to me, along with the names of the starter's. Now go on in there," he took a step back. "As long as you remember this, you'll be fine. Go hunt. Have fun."

Tyris smerked, liking his humor, but he nodded his respect. "I thank you sir." But Tyris didn't budge, because Jarbach kept on talking. He nodded his head at times so Jarbach knew he under stood. "I wouldn't expect anything less from a pack leader of your." Oh what was a good word? "Nature and status, Don't worry when new members arrive I'll be sure to help keep order here, under your orders of course."

Jarbach smiled. "Good boy. Now go off, go off," he said, turning away. "Wander the land and check the borders after you eat," he added, calling over his shoulder as his walk turned to a run. Loyal, he thought. Wish they'd been like that in Tombstone, d**ned traitors. He glanced up at the sky for a moment, disapearing into the forest undergrowth.
[Alright, so you're all good and accepted. <3<3 As for formalities, welcome to Vultreen. ]

Tyris nodded and took a few steps over the border, eyes set on the elk. Don't go and hurt yourself now, hunt something smaller. "Alright, I'll be sure to do that Jarbach" Dipping his head in respect to turned and started following the border south. Pausing he lifted his nose and started looking for a rabbit, or a deer. Flicking his ears forward he slowly made his way down the border. ((^-^ Alright))
