|Pack Rules and Information|
Basic/Pack Life
- Vultreen is a tough pack; Jarbach is hard on his members. However, he does have a softer side and does not rule as complete dictatorship. Any wolf saying so is just trying to get a rise up.
- It's easy to get into Jarbach's pack--this is true. But, it's not all that easy to stay in. If Jarbach doesn't think you can live in Vultreen, he'll cast you out without question. If you argue, he'll get a Fighter or two to chase you out.
- Jarbach isn't fond of other packs wandering onto his land, and anyone from another pack [other than Shale Shore] who crosses over his borders has brought a 'curse' upon his/her pack and themselves. Just a small warning.
- If any pack member challenges Jarbach's rule, he/she will be killed immediately. Any wolves helping the traitor will be exiled from the pack.
- Wolves removed from the park are not in the same boat as an exiled wolf--only because they are allowed to return.
Fighting
- You may fight anyone in the pack for any good reason. A friendly challenge is alright, too. Jarbach or the Beta male MUST be present.
- During war or times of battle, Jarbach is the off-field Commander. If the on-field Commander gives an order not authorized by Jarbach, he or she will be replaced. Permenantly.
Ranks
- Jarbach will not start off a new member with a high rank. He'll rank you as he sees fit.
- Any wolf in the Royal or Rich ranking categories are to be treated with the utmost respect. Any wolf below those ranks shall do as these wolves say; their word, however, is not to be taken as far as Jarbach's word.
Pups
- All pups will begin training at 6 months old. The Delta or Jarbach himself are the only wolves allowed to train any pups.
The training: Pup Training is more play than anything. Pups 6 - 9 months of age will focus mainly on learning the rules of the pack and basic skills needed to survive. Pups of 10 - 11 months of age will perfect their survival skills and continue on to learn the basics of hunting. Youth Training focuses mainly on battle and hunting techniques. All pups entering Youth Training should understand and know the rules of the pack and basic survival skills should be perfected as much as possible. More difficult aspects and techniques of hunting [how to, what to, when to, ect.] will be taught to youth of 12 - 14 months. Youth will be introduced to the basics of battling/fighting techniques at 15 - 16 months. These techniques will be taken to a more advanced level at 17 - 18 months of age. The final test will be in steps:
Step One - Pack life. Recite two rules of the pack without mistake. Step Two - Hunting. Track down and kill a young elk or deer. Step Three - Fighting. Each pup will be put in groups of two; they will battle until the 'teacher' tells them to stop. Battle = four posts each. Two dodges only.
Please see following post for more detailed information.
- Follow all general IC/OOC rules as well as these.

This is the guide for any wolf training pups in the Vultreen pack. At the moment this is NOT an actual role-played thing. Recent Teacher: Jarbach Possible Substitutes: None ClAss Times: None
Schedule Pup Training: 6 - 11 months Youth Training: 12 - 18 months Final Test: 2 years
- Each training session will take months in roleplay time, but only one or two weeks in reality. Five-day weeks [unless otherwise stated], the pups get a break sometime. xD - During those five days you will not be able to roleplay your pup elsewhere. - Homework does not have to be roleplayed, though if you want to [make your pup moreso interesting than others], tell me or the teacher OOC if your pup doesn't do the homework. lol But I want MOST of the pups do complete homework, so. - A training group MUST have more than two pups in a clAss. If there are less than three pups in the pack at the time, they will not complete part three of the Final Test. - If a pup comes into the pack OLDER than 11 months, they will be automatically moved into Youth Training and will not be able to complete part one of the Final Test. - Remember than any pup NOT graduated from Pup Training is not allowed outside camp without teacher. - This regimen will not be completed if there is no Delta or if the Alpha/Beta is not present.
Pup Training
Week One - Day One 'ClAss Introduction.' The pups will be introduced to one another by telling the 'clAss' their name and anything else they wish. The teacher will introduce her/himself. Pups will be paired up. Short clAss. [If any problems arise between the pairs, talk to the teacher before the next clAss.]
- Day Two 'Pack Introduction, part one.' The pack rules will be introduced. The teacher will explain each rule in simplified detail. Short clAss. Homework: Try to remember at least two rules for next clAss.
- Day Three 'Pack Introduction, part two.' Each pup will recite at least two rules privately in front of the teacher. It doesn't matter if one or two pups have the same rules to recite. If a pup cannot recite two rules, they will get a quick bop on the nose or a stern glance as punishment; it's really not that big of a deal. Most pups would not have been allowed to wander about camp while the pack is at work. The teacher will lead the pups about, explaining in simplified detail the requirements of each pack job. Tell each pup to remember the requirements, but do not tell them why.
- Day Four 'Working Together.' There will be a large clearing for clAss just outside the camp. This is the 'pack lands.' Each pair will be Assigned 'jobs' to do: hunt [catch bugs and collect hidden pinecones], patrol the borders, ect. The teacher will watch the group from outside the clearing; the pups are not allowed to ask any questions. After an hour or so, the excise is over. If any pair did not complete their Assignment, they must repeat it in front of the clAss. Any pup giggling or making fun will have to help them.
- Day Five 'Hunting Introduction.' The teacher will take the pups out with a hunting party of three other adults. The four adults shall hunt elk and deer. [Hunters may feast; pups may not.] After, the teacher will take the clAss to 'Squirrel Park,' a clearing located near the borders [ground squirrels are always found here, though a burrow has yet to be found.] Using the techniques learned from the earlier observation, have the pups attempt to catch a squirrel each. They do not have be successful.
This is the last day of Youth training. The pups are congratulated before meeting their new teacher [if available]. Pups get a week of vacation. They can now leave the camp on their own.
Youth Training
Week One - Day One 'Pack Rules and Youth Training Introduction.' Teacher and youths will introduce themselves to the clAss before the teacher begins talking about what he/she and Jarbach expect of the Youths to learn in the following week. After, see how many pack rules the youths remember before introducing the complete list. Rules will be explained in detail. Homework: Remember every rule learned.
- Day Two 'Basic Hunting Techniques, review.' Short day. Review the basic hunting techniques.
- Day Three 'Advanced Hunting Techniques.' Learn some more advanced techniques. Youth will be taught about 'group hunting' and helping each pup in the clAss succeed, enemy or not. The clAss will hunt at least two deer and one young moose. Homework: Go off hunting on your own and bring back a young deer or doe.
- Day Four 'Hunting Party, review.' Youths will again observe a real Hunting Party at work. They will be Assigned to watch one of the adult wolves; later, in their own small hunting party, the Youth will repeat what he saw his 'mentor' hunter do while hunting. The clAss will hunt elk and deer. Homework: Hunt with your group and bring back two deer.
- Day Five 'Partner Organization.' Short day. Youths will be paired up again for next week's fighting lessons. Any problems with partners will not matter as they did in Pup Training; the youths will have to deal with each other for the next three days.
Week Two - Day One 'Basic Fighting Techniques.' The teacher will go over basic fighting techniques. The pairs will 'fight' each other until one of them recieves a bleeding cut. Because the pups are uneducated in fighting, most will not have much of a technique: the teacher will tell the Youths why it is important to have technique. He or she will show them a few basic ones. Homework: Practice techniques with your partner and come up with a few of your own.
- Day Two 'Advanced Fighting Techniques.' The Youths will fight with their partners again, this time showing their own techniques. Any Youth who did not complete the homework will have to sit out today and the next day. The teacher will show the Youths some more advanced techniques for them to practice. Homework: Youths who sat out today will be sitting out tomorrow: they are allowed to skip tomorrow's clAss, but a star will be taken away during the finals if they do. Practice the more advanced fighting techniques along with your own.
- Day Three 'War.' The group will be split into 'packs.' The teacher will give each 'pack' a reason to be fighting with the other. Each pack is expected to have some sort of strategy in mind as well as 'ranks' [commander, lead fighters, ect.] Once a Youth receives one bloody wound [SIMPLE WOUND] he or she is 'dead' and must discontinue the fight. Any serious injury given will result in a serious punishment to the inflicter. Teacher: be sure to let youth know that this is not an activity to see 'which side will lose all their wolves first.' You are looking for style and technique.
- Day Four 'Resting Day.' A full day of no-posting with this Youth. All Youths must rest today.
- Day Five 'Resting Day.' Visit the medic to check and see if all is well. If there is no pack medic, Jarbach will find one.
Final Test The test is graded by 'stars.' Three stars are available each day. Your youth may only graduate if he or she has seven stars or more out of nine.
- Day One 'Pack Life.' Each Youth must recite all pack rules [doesn't have to be copy-paste exact] without mistake. 1 star: Timely arrival. Each youth is expected to arrive when told by the youth 'in line' before them. [The list will be announced via PM. If you know you can't be on for a few days, say so, I'll put your character last on the list.] 2 stars: Nine or more rules recited.
- Day Two 'Hunting; Complete.' Eath Youth must complete the following two tasks with little mistake. [Each Youth will probably make one or two mistakes.] 1 star: Timely arrival. Each youth is expected to arrive when told by the youth 'in line' before them. 2 stars: Successfully taking down a healthy buck. Successfully working with the small hunting party to take down an elk.
- Day Three 'Fighting; Complete.' Youth must complete the following two tasks with little mistake. [Each Youth will probably make one or two mistakes.] Remember to come into the third and last day with a thought of technique. 1 star: Timely arrival. Each youth is expected to arrive when told by the youth 'in line' before them. 2 stars: The first fight will be against two coyotes [vermin that Jarbach finds in his land every so often.] The Youth must chase both out of the pack lands, giving them wounds ensuring they will not be seen again. The second will be against Jarbach or the teacher him/herself. Mainly looking for technique; the teacher/Jarbach will not use claws or teeth, but mock bites and pins.
- Day Four 'Training is Complete.' Each Youth will be reconized with a day of rest and a final rank when the entire clAss is finished. Today is a rest day for all the pack.
[If you'd like to help come up with ideas for things the pups can do, I'd love you forever. <3]

| Pack Rules| These are the far simpler rules and guidelines Jarbach expects each young wolf to know by heart after training. 1. You are born and always will be loyal to the Vultreen alpha male. 2. The pack is your family but not your fifth leg. There will be no leeching here. 3. Do not leave another packmate stranded off Vultreen terratory. This will count as desertion. 4. You may not create a disturbance in the pack without good reason. 5. Any wolf with a higher rank than you shall be treated with respect. No exceptions. 6. No wolf except Jarbach can meet with a visiting wolf from another pack/place. 7. Any tresspAsser without a valid reason to cross into Vultreen terratory can either be chased out or killed. 8. Your loyalty lasts forever. If you leave the pack, you will be watched. 9. "Jarbach's birthday" is on "a quiet midnight in winter." Otherwise known as "twenty-four". 10. Do not reveal any plans or secrets of the Vultreen pack to anyone outside the terratory. [What's rule #9 all about? Only the Army, the Rich, and the Royalty know. And they are sworn to secrecy.]
